Sir Winslow has always been inspired by the classic Dutch renderings of garden gnomes by the artist Rein Poortvliet. It wasn’t until he encountered these whimsical folks in his own garden did he realize just how spot on the artist was! The garden gnomes are a fun and a fantastic group of fairy tale creatures and are prone to spending their days snoozing with their pet snails, tending tomato plants, and smelling the flowers. In fact, Sir Winslow’s very own children became quite friendly with baby gnomes and you can often see them in the back of family photos.
