Sir Winslow experiences with sea turtles came about because of a ship wreck off the coast of Rarotonga in the Cook Islands. He was marooned there on Tikioki Beach until natives came to his aid. Sea turtles come near the island to enjoy the coral reef that surrounds most of the island. Sir Winslow was able to make many observations and draw sketches of the turtle while he was there. Thankfully he was able to make contact with another ship and was rescued.

The turtle pillow is made from cottons, minky and fleece. Each stuffed turtle is made individually, which means it will be a bit different than shown. I will send a picture of the exact turtle you will be receiving if necessary. All my whimsical pillows are cut out individually by hand so there will be variations. It is what gives the decorative pillows character and personality. Please ask for color variations, I am happy to make more than just green turtles.

Measures 12 by 12 inches, with the fins being slightly more.

The pillow is stuffed with poly fiber fill and is machine washable. Will need to be air dried or on a delicate setting.
