Sir Winslow spent several months in Australia in 1897. He traveled around the country seeing all the wonders the land had to offer. He enjoyed the coast with all its amusements, the red kangaroos in the Outback and the Aboriginal rock art in the west.

But by far his favorite was the koala. He would hike into the eucalyptus woodlands and seek out these creatures. They had been fairly recently discovered by Europeans and so was a novelty. Sir Winslow was able to befriend a few and so took them home to Windy Willows for his Zoo.

These koala pillows are made from gray fleece, cotton and felt. All my items are cut out individually by hand so there will be slight changes to each whimsical pillow. It is what gives them character and personality. The pillow is stuffed with poly fiberfill and is machine washable. Will need to be air dried or a delicate setting. This stuffed animal pillow measures 12 x 18 inches for the large koala and 8 x 10 inches for the medium.
