The easiest way to answer the question is “Pinterest” of course! It really is my go to for inspiration, if I am stuck on an idea, need to tweak a design, or to learn a new way to do something.
Pinterest is great because it leads you to the website from a picture. You don’t have to save it to a board or like it to get the information you are looking for. Easy to click and you are there. Say I want to know more about and embroidery stitch I am thinking adding to a new product. First enter “embroidery stitches” in the search bar and then click on the magnifying glass icon. You will soon have hundreds of idea to look at. Choose your favorite, click again to enlarge it. Is it what you are looking for? Whoo Hoo! Click on the enlarged picture one more time and it will redirect you to the site to learn more about that technique.
It’s really very easy. I almost like it better than plain old Google! Now the really nice thing about Pinterest is the saving it to your boards. If you really liked the idea you saw and want to save it, Pin it! I think the “liking” button is kind of a time waster. Either you want to come back to the idea or you don’t but how will you find it again in all those likes? Enough said!
I do also occasionally flip through a magazine. My favorites are Victoria and anything published by Stampington & Co. Both are very much my style. Even if it’s not directly related to the animal pillows, they always inspire me!
I would like to point out in the above photo that those tea cups are my absolute favorite of all time! I recieved some for a bridal shower gift and they have a prominent spot on the shelf!
